What are the best books about self-confidence, self-esteem and communication?

I’ve already read Eric Berne, Dyer, Branden, McKenna.

Try Anthony Robbins books like unlimited power or Unleash the Giant Within. He has a very practical and pro-active style about helping motivate yourself and achieve things. A lot of his work is also about communication and how to read people.

He is world famous and does huge seminars around the world so i would think i’d be correct to put it in the "best" category.

Another book i know is "The Road less Travelled" by Scott Peck. Also very famous and worth a read.

I have very low self-confidence. What should I do to build it up?

I always look down at myself. Always thinking that everyone’s above me. What should I do to build my self-confidence?

The first step is to adjust your perceptions. One of the fundamental truths in life is to realize that how you feel and what you are are often very different. I have to recommend the seven habits of highly effective people. That book systematically gave me friends, a girlfriend, success, and most importantly self appreciation. Trust me, it is absolutely worth it.

What are tips to building confidence?

One of my best friends and her boyfriend ( Of a year) broke up like a week or two ago and she wont stop talking bad about herself. Apparently when he broke up with her he called her ugly and fat which shes not. So now all she does is cry and me and my other friends have tried everything and nothing seems to help boost her confidence so she can see how great a person she is. Please Help Us!

tell her not to worry about stuff which other people think of her…Tell her that it simply is not worth the pain… Also, give her some hope and confidence…whenever she comes to think of her that way, divert her mind and indulge in some other conversation…..good luck…
