i know a good start would be not reffering to yourself as ugly but cmon for practical purposes, do u have any tips or steps?
Self-confidence is not ONLY about looks. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder! It also comes from doing good things – for yourself and others. It’s the feeling you have when you help someone, or do something important, or something to benefit others, etc… You can volunteer in a hospital, or learn to play a musical instrument(I play piano) or do anything that you will feel better about yourself for doing. It is a personal thing for each of us – so find your way! And, by the way, you’re right-stop referring to yourself as ugly-you probably have several good qualities, so make the most of those! Go out and get a make-over, a new style of clothing, etc..all these things will help you Build self-confidence. It does not happen over night! Be kind to yourself & others will see the kindness, too! LOL

Show people what you have on the inside. Ive never dated anyone completely beautiful, I connect with people that are beautiful on the inside. Besides, Im sure you arent an ugly beast!
Once you can show your insides off, im sure your confidence will boost… but maybe you have tried it.
Im thinking one day, after you realise a change… you will look in the mirror and say :I’m not ugly after all!

What makes you think you are ugly? Beauty, true beauty, isn’t just on the outside. You can have a pretty face, but your personality could make you ugly, and vise versa. One of the most gorgeous men I had ever met in my life, had scars that ran across his face, thru his eyebrow, and down to his chin. But, his eyes were so intense and his personality was so amazing. He was just an amazing human being. Look at yourself everyday in the mirror and tell yourself that you are a great person, that you are beautiful, and that you are loved and valued. Each day do this, soon you will believe the truth. Good Luck!!!!

Who said you’re ugly?
No human is truly ugly, just different.
Since the beginning of time, man has used his own oppinion of what is beautiful and what is ugly, and all this is based on ‘sex
appeal’.
What you see as ugly I see as beautiful.
I am a christian and believe that God made you ‘PERFECT’.
it is we who see flaws (based on man’s ignorant views).
Self esteem is another thing you can overcome, simply because
it is a ‘mind thing’.
If you think you’re ugly you must re-program your mind to think
otherwise. And when you think beauty, you’ll see yourself in a
whole new light.
And always keep this in mind, "God never creates junk".
You are unique, precious, and beautiful to Him.

*redefine your perception of what is ugly.
*If the "flaw" is extreme and is correctable through surgery, then -consider it.

Socrates was one ugly puppy. But he was the wisest man of his time. The Delphic Oracle said so. At first he couldn’t believe it. Ugly Ol’ him? He didn’t know anything? How could he be wise? So he started asking people questions. He found out that, although beautiful people thought they knew things, really, they had no idea what they were talking about. Finally, he came to the conclusion that the oracle was right. He was the wisest man. Not because he knew anything, but because he was the only who recognized that people really didn’t know squat. How to build your self confidence? Keep your eyes and ears (and most importantly) your mind open
