In my opinion self confidence is believing in yourself and things you can do, but self esteem is the way you view your looks and how other people see you as a person.

Well self-confidence relates to self-assuredness in one’s personal judgment, ability, power, etc., sometimes manifested excessively.Where as self esteem reflects a person’s overall evaluation or appraisal of his or her own worth. In simple terms I guess self confidence would be you believe you can do something and self esteem would you feeling worth in the things that you did

Having confidence in your self means you have no fears about who you are or how you present your self.
Having a good self esteem means you FEEL good about yourself.
Confidence is more related to interacting with other people or situations, Esteem is what YOU personally feel about yourself.
YES, there IS a difference, and you can have one and not the other, but it is great to develop and maintain BOTH.
